Where are my Tracks?

After you have purchased your tracks you will be automatically sent to your "My Stock Music " page where you can download your tracks immediately. If this does not occur, check your email for your login and password and log in to the "My Stock Music " section of the Stock Music site. For any other technical issues please contact us at 1-866-HIPTUNES.

What are credits and how do they work?

If you plan on using more than 10 tracks but you don't know exactly what music you need, you can save money by buying credits. With credits you can choose your music in the future, but still pay the lower price per track. The more credits you buy the cheaper the cost per music track. One credit equals one music track. Simply log in and click the "add credits" button beside your name near the top right of the screen to purchase credits.

How do I save the purchased tracks to my hard drive?

To save music to your hard drive: click on the "download now" button. A requester will pop up which will allow you to choose a folder on your hard drive to put the file in.

What browsers are supported?

The site supports all web browsers. It has been tested with Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, and Safari. It should run equally well on Mac and PC.

What formats can I download immediately?

The tracks that you purchase for download are in MP3 format at the highest "CD Transparent" quality (320KBPS). We also have files available for immediate download in WAVE and AIFF formats. There is no quality difference between the MP3's and the bulkier WAVE and AIFF files. Our DEMO MP3's are usually compressed at 64 KBPS which is considered to be FM radio quality.

How do I purchase music tracks?

Step 1: Listen to the demo track and find the music you want to purchase. You can purchase either individual tracks or save money by getting the whole collection.

Step 2: Click the "Add to Cart " button beside each track or collection that you want to purchase. A new page will open up showing you what you have selected and the cost. You can either click "continue shopping" to add more tracks, or "checkout" to purchase the tracks you have selected. You will be prompted to enter your email address, create a password, and your name. You will then be sent to a secure Paypal page where you can make your payment with a credit card.

Step 3: We will verify your order by sending you a confirmation by email, along with your password for your records. Simply log in to the "My Stock Music" section of the web site with the email and password that you used to sign up. Any tracks you have purchased will be ready for download immediately after making your payment. If you prefer to order over the phone call 1-866-HIPTUNES and we will take your credit card order and email you a link to your account.

What is Paypal and is it secure?

Paypal is the largest and most secure method for purchasing digital assets on the web that we could find. It has merged with Ebay and does millions of transactions every day. Their security and encryption is the best there is. We do not record or store credit card information and all security for the transactions are handled by Paypal.

Can I pay by another method?

In addition to Paypal we accept payment by certified check, money order or by credit card (Visa, MC, Amex) over the phone at our toll-free number 1-866-HIPTUNES. We are open 9-5 Eastern Standard Time, Monday to Friday.

What license do I get and what are the terms?

All music purchased from us comes with an UNLIMITED license for use in television production, radio or audio production, commercials, film, or multimedia projects. It is completely royalty-free and can be used over and over for in your projects.

How do I play MP3's? How do I import them into my editing system.

We recommend using the latest version of Windows Media Player or Winamp to play MP3's. Once you download and install the program it should automatically open and play the MP3 files that have become associated with it.

Most modern editing systems such as Avid or Final Cut import MP3's directly. There are many audio conversion tools on the market such as Sound Forge for PC, or Media Cleaner for Mac which will allow you to easily convert to Wave or Aiff formats if you require them. We can also provide collections in Wave or Aiff formats by special request.

Can I get physical CD's or DVD's mailed to me?

If you would like a collection in a specific format such as WAVE or AIFF, just let click the button that says "Ship me a physical CD" at the checkout screen.

I have composed and produced my own world class music that I think would sell on Stockmusic.net. How do I submit my music to Stockmusic.net?

You can upload your music to myhiptunes.com. There you will also find more information about the submission process.

Using Stock Music on Youtube Videos

YOUTUBE content creators, please note the following carefully:

1. You are FULLY covered by the Stockmusic.net blanket "media producer" license to use Stockmusic.net music in your videos. Don't let any third parties try to extort money from you, as some of our customers have been recently approached by persons or organizations posing as the copyright owners.
2. Please ensure that somewhere in your Youtube video description (the text that describes your video when you submit it) you have the following line: "Royalty free music licensed by www.stockmusic.net". Otherwise the Youtube copyright police may come after you. In the event that you are challenged on this issue, simply provide a copy of your Stockmusic.net receipt, or contact us and we will be happy to provide further documentation for you.
